Itinerary;
You can normally board the
ship a few hours before it sets sail giving you time to find
your cabin, take a shower in the cabins en-suite and explore
everything on offer. The Pride Of Bilbao departs from Portsmouth
in the evening when you can enjoy fine food in one of the
restaurants or dance the night away while you cruise out through
the English Channel.
The following morning you
will be close to the Bay of Biscay and can look forward to a
full day at sea. After breakfast you might want to go shopping
or see a movie and don't miss the opportunity to spot dolphins
and whales from the decks. The bay of Biscay is an area where
three major sea currents meet and it can be choppy at times so
don't forget to pack some travel pills.
On the second morning you
will wake to the calm waters of Spain as you approach Bilbao
harbour.
Bilbao;
Bilbao is one of the most
beautiful port cities in the world. If you are returning on the
mini cruise you will have a few hours to explore; if you are
staying in Spain for longer Bilbao is worth at least an
overnight stop. Walk along the river past the Guggenheim Museum
towards the old town and discover the quaint squares, shops and
tappas bars.
Getting There:
By Air;
Portsmouth can be reached by bus or train from any of the major
airports within England.
By Road;
Traffic around the south of England is generally congested,
particularly at peak times. Plenty of time should be allowed for
arrival at port.
